Lighting of Breckenridge

Come to Breckenridge to begin celebrating the holiday season the weekend of December 2-4th, 2017.  Watch the Bernese Mountain Dog Parade and participate in Race with the Santas late afternoon before the festivities begin for lighting the town tree.  Holiday carolers will be strolling Main Street, hot cocoa, cookies and Santa are all a part of the Lighting of Breckenridge!

2017 Dew Tour

The winter Dew Tour ski and snowboard competition and festival will return to Breckenridge, Colo. December 14-17, 2017. The event will serve as a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Olympic qualifying event for men’s and women’s halfpipe and slopestyle snowboarding and skiing competitions. The Dew Tour will also host Team Challenge and Streetstyle competitions and a calendar of fan-based activities, as part of TEN and Mountain Dew’s commitment to further style and creativity in action sports.

Ullr Fest

Ullr Fest will celebrate 55 years January 10-13, 2018! The Town of Breckenridge invites snow lovers of all ages to join the party. During Ullr Fest in Breckenridge, don’t be surprised to see horned Viking hats adorning the heads of skiers and snowboarders, the biggest bonfire in town, and more than 12,000 Ullr enthusiasts filling the streets for the Ullr Parade with crazy float participants skiing off jumps on Main Street or gliding along town in a hot tub. Join us to rejoice with Ullr himself… he’s ready for a good party.

In Norse mythology, Ullr (pronounced Oool-er) was the winter god. He was the son of Sif and the stepson of Thor, the “God of Thunder.” Ullr loved the cold, and delighted in traveling over the country on his skis or skates. He also delighted in the chase, and pursued his game through the Northern Forests.
