Our Commitment to Cleaning
We have always used a professional cleaning service to ensure you have a clean and well taken care of unit but here are a few extra implementations we will be doing in order to keep our guests and our cleaners safe and healthy.
We will have at least 24 hours between guests to allow the cleaners extra time to clean and ensure all checklist items have been taken care of.
We provide disinfecting products for your use during your stay.
We have eliminated shared soft objects that are difficult to clean such as extra throw blankets and decorative pillows. We use easy to clean bedspreads and duvet covers so all shared linens will be washed for each guest. Because we use a professional cleaner, the laundry is washed in a high temperature commercial washer to even better sanitize.
We encourage ventilation by opening the windows and doors throughout the unit both during your stay and while our cleaners are cleaning to bring in fresh air in efforts to remove any respiratory droplets are from the air.
According to the CDC they recommend cleaning and then sanitizing all frequently touched surfaces such as tables, doorknobs, light switches, handles, desks, toilets, faucets, sinks, countertops and electronics with household cleaners and EPA registered disinfectants that are appropriate for the surface, following label instructions.
- Cleaning refers to the removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces. It does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.
- Disinfecting refers to using chemicals, for example, bleach for bathroom surfaces or 70% alcohol based cleaners for granite, to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection.
We will do our very best to ensure you have a safe environment when you stay in our condo however our contract will state you will assume all risks related to exposure to COVID19 while staying in our condo.
EXTRA CLEANING MEASURES
Here is our cleaning crew’s new checklist during this COVID pandemic of frequently touched items to clean and sanitize above and beyond the normal cleaning we provide:
Doorknobs, Handles and Pulls (cabinet, appliances, windows) and Railings
Light switches, Fans, Lamps and Humidifier chains or knobs or buttons, Thermostats
Garbage and Recycling Bins, Remote Controls
Small Appliances such as coffee makers, toasters, crockpots.
Spice containers including salt and pepper shakers.
Hair Dryers, Irons, Soap Dispensers
Our normal clean includes but is not limited to dusting or cleaning and sanitizing
All countertops, tables, ledges, dressers
All appliances such as refrigerator, oven, stove and dishwasher.
All sinks, showers, tubs and toilets
All carpeted floors be vacuumed and all hard floors be swept and mopped.
All linens, towels and duvet covers be washed.
